Sometimes it is good to just simply recognize that you are blessed. I was re-doing my blog design today and thinking of what inspires me. The warmth of my home; the fireplace, colors around me and good company...During the winter it is hard some days not to get down. Not be overcome by wanting to play in my garden or take a walk outside and not get frostbitten hands. And there are several months of rainy cold, Oregon weather ahead. But I was visiting my old and good friend Em and reminded of the warmth and love between friends and how valuable intentionality and humor can be. These are some of the blessings and inspirations that I latch on to today.

What the heck!? I haven't heard from her in awhile! What is going on? I miss you guys:(
The wonderful thing about your, warm and wonderful winter world right now, Jen, is you! Coming to your blogspot is like coming into the warmth of a cozy hearth place. Setting aside time, like you do, to consider your life and be mindful of the now moment will keep you and all of us nourished as we move along the path together. You will be able to look back and really remember what your life is all about, while many others will just move pell mell into tomarrow and wonder where they've been and why they rushed, some day in the future when they look back. I didn't spend much time with you in your growing up years, so this is a treat to enjoy you this way. Much love, Aunt Katie
Jen it was so wonderful to spend time with mike and you. I treasure our friendship so much. Your house is so wonderful. I felt right at home. It was great to catch up and see all the great things the lord is doing in our lives. I love you both very much.
