Preparation for New Adventures

One thing that has helped me mentally cope For the idea of a move across the country in just 3 short weeks is a to do list. Things on the list have included:
-Selling one of our cars - check
-Selling a ton of baby stuff and maternity clothes on craigslist - check
-A TON of house related maintenance projects (fixing things, trimming all trees, spreading bark dust etc - check
- RENTING our house - check
- And having a big garage sale before the school year started - check, check, check

Needless to say, I am tired and need a vacation (which I am taking now)!
The garage sale was a great sucess. I did it all day Friday and it was thrilling now busy it was. I sold a ton of stuff and most of my kids toys (which they will have to live without). A major highlight of the garage sale was the couple that came up to the house and asked me, are you guys renting this house by chance? I said…(you look like a great couple) Yes? They took a tour, of course the house was trashed from the sale but they liked it. They called that night and said they were really interested and also that they noticed that we had a ton of Christian book for sale - were we Christians? They were too. This was a huge blessing as it was our biggest prayer request from the last post. Praise God!

One of the hardest things about this move has been saying good-bye to our daytime nanny. She is amazing and has blessed us so much over the last year. She took our kids of countless outings and cared for them in an wonderful way. I forgot to get a picture of her with them so I will have to when we see her next. She took them to a favorite spot, Chunky Cheese on their last day with her and took some photos.

We spend some special moments with my sister and parents this weekend. The kids absolutely love being with their Oma, Papa and Auntie Meg. They also love the hot tub, even when it is hot hot.

We are of to St Thomas and will post pictures soon of our vacation from the craziness that is our lives right now!
