Everyone always comments on her hair. She has SO much beautiful hair. Every morning I have to comb it out with conditioner since it is so fine and get tangled very quickly. I won't cut it again so we have to pin it back to keep it out of her eyes.
These are some of my favorite photos of Amelie from the past 4 months starting at the top at 2 months up until Christmas. Lots of faces…loads of personality!

Before I get to Jack, I have to update you on other "3rd child" the Mini. She has given us a run for our money (oh no, just taken all of our money). :) After a 6 month overhaul we are almost done and need a few more parts in place before (fingers and toes crossed and lots of prayers) she'll be running. Most can't believe we are doing it ourselves. We have spent MANY late nights in the garage working on it together. What a project.
This is a regular morning scene. Jack is learning to eat at his "big boy" table. (Can't believe I am saying that so soon, he is not even 2). And Amelie is eating lots of homemade solid foods in the high chair.
Two new things that Jack loves to do is check his mailbox and drink "Caa key" (coffee). By checking his mailbox I mean put the letters into the top and then open up the mailbox to make sure they actually went inside. But when he opens it it plays these sweet little songs and he will hum along and bob up and down. Jack also likes to drink his own version of coffee which is hot chocolate with marshmallows. So fun to have him ask for his caa key every morning and drink it with delight.
In all reality the past few weeks has been really tough. We had a week off between Christmas and New Years and ended up working on the mini a ton. Going back to work has been a big challenge for obvious reasons. However, now I am in a new role responsible for staffing a brand new digital department and it is the most challenged and most exciting thing I have done to date in staffing. If it weren't so game changing I would probably not be as motivated to work as I have been. After just 3 weeks part time, I was working full time. So I decided to go back officially full time with the hope that in January I would start back part time again. So far…no such luck.
Thankfully Evelyn, our nanny is amazing! She is at the house during the week and brings tons of fun things to teach and explore with Jack. I think of her as his teacher because I can tell when she comes over in the morning he knows he will not get "tt" TV but instead will get to sing songs, play with tons of games and do art projects. I am so blessed to have her!!
As for 2011 and what's in store. I trust God has a great plan for us and I am leaving the destination to Him while trying to just Enjoy the Ride!

Oh Jen, the kids are so big and so darn cute! I can't believe Amelie is 6 months.I will be praying for your work transition! That sounds crazy. You are amazing. I don't know how you do it! Miss you friend!
Hey Jen,
I was so delighted to see Jack playing with the little mailbox. That was such a fun find and it makes my heart light up to see/hear about it being enjoyed daily by Jack. Love, ya and hope you guys feel better soon.
I echo Brandy. You are amazing and I'm so proud of you and what you do. Evelyn sounds amazing, but I'm sure it's still hard. But my goodness, Amelie is getting so big! And I just love looking at (and saying) her name. It is just beautiful.
Hope 2011 brings many good things to you all!
cute cute pics of your babies! it goes so much faster the second time around, huh?! i feel you on that full time thing - i made it two weeks on my part time schedule before i realized i was actually working full time and getting paid part time. made no sense. i hope it gets better for you, but could be tough with the new role! congrats. such a struggle huh...feeling so challenged (in a good way) at work, but trying to find the time/energy to do it all at the level you want to do it. that was my struggle! good luck to you in finding the balance.
You are all so amazing! Faithful to each moment and building priceless memories of love and care day by day. Awesome. Blessing in the New Year.
