Easter Fun w/ Gran

This isn't the best photo of Jack (Mr drooly, snott nose) but it totally portrays his excitement over Easter eggs. Jack immediately spotted the colored plastic eggs in my grocery bag on Saturday. He grabbed the crinkly bags and shook them until the cheap seams gave out and the eggs came flying out. Then he proceeded to open every single egg to look inside. What fun! Took him 15 minutes to get all of them open and then he wanted to do it again. And again!!
Jack got to spend lots of quality time with his Gran over the past long weekend. Jennifer visited from Oklahoma City over Easter. Her visit was - as always - so delightful. This visit we just hung around the house and played (thanks to the majorly rainy days - thanks Oregon!) and let Mike cook us amazingly delicious meals. There was good tickle time, reading stories, learning how to play with new toys and silly chatter.

Easter was a fun occation. After going to the morning church service we came home and hunted for eggs in the yard. Jack had great practice opening the eggs from the day before. So, he didn't wait to see what was inside of them. He opened them as he found them, let the contents drop to the ground and then went to the next one.
Our little lawn friend came out just in time for the occation to say hi. This little tree frog has come out to play before but Jack does not understand him yet. He won't pop out of his eggs.

Of course Easter dinner was delicious. Filet mignon with a buttery porcini mushroom sauce topped with pimenton frites, herb infused roasted asparagus and shrimp with a ver blanc sauce. Mighty tasty.

I don't know it is about kids and technology. But they just gravitate to it. Jack loves flip phones and once he gets them open he will hold them up to his head like he is going to say something. But forget about talking on the phone. He clams up and get shy. What a boy.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend celebrating the GREATEST GIFT that has ever been given!

That you have a little green frog in your yard looking very healthy is a great sign that the yard is safe and healthy for little Jack! Alleluia, for new life both inside of you and all around. Happy Easter.
