Weekend Projects at the 37th week

Had my 36 week appointment on Friday. Babies head is down and engaged in the pelvis which is a great news. Still growing but my overall gain has slowed down which is something they will continue to watch. My midwife on Friday suggested that I think about a water birth and says it is the most amazing physical environment for birth. I am going to talk to the trainer at week 38 about this and plan to use the water birth room in case I feel like trying it. I am a big time water person so I could see myself doing this. I feel each little movement at this point since my little baby does not have much room to move around now. I officially feel like we are at the countdown!

I had a productive weekend getting things ready the baby. I haven’t posted a photo of the silhouette tree/bookshelf that my mom made us. It is WAY cool! And it goes with my theme of jungle animals (although I don’t have any monkeys to attach to the branches yet). As you can see I’ve attached other animals to the branches. I got my shelves up (big pain), my artwork framed and hung and the little black and brown cabinet refinished. Lots of work but it all paid off. I also got my clothes washed and put away and had Mike pick out our hospital outfit.
The last project of the weekend was making new curtins which I have to give my mom most of the credit for. They look amazing and it is a nice change of color and style.

Wow your nursery looks SO great! Love the tree! I had my 32 week check today and talk to a midwife about a water birth as well. I am really excited about it being an option. Can't believe you are so close to delivery (just a little jealous:0))! I am keeping you and your boy in my prayers. ~ Brenda

wow, the place looks great!!! my sister did a bath tub for labor and then ran to the bed for delivery and loved it. if it was allowed in hungary she probably would have had the baby in the tub. we can't wait to hear :)
