Mothers Day and other adventures!

We had a lovely mothers day with my Mom. Jack was his normal fun self, giving kisses and hugs to me all day. We had my favorite French toast breakfast with strawberries and creme de la glace (Mike should put this stuff on the market, it is amazing). We went to church and then enjoyed lunch with my mom at Typhoon!

Doesn't he just look like a little rascal?
Jack can't decide if he is Mr Trouble or Mr Fun. Most moments, he is both!

Last weekend we escaped to the beach for a few days of R&R and fun. Even though it was really cold, Jack loved the beach!
This is the most hilarious moment because it captured a real "laugh" for me! Jack won't normally keep his sunglasses on but on this occasion, he did. His little teeth were chattering and he was humming something I think to keep himself warm. It was really cold!
This little grimace face really captured Jack's experience of the beach. Skeptical but inquisitive.

Mike LOVES to fly his kite. He is really obsessed with kites (on a side note) and he wanted to get Jack into it.
These 2 are quite the pair!

We have had such fun just being a little family. This trip was truly refreshing after several weeks of dealing with the strife of life. Mike has dealt with a sizeable disappointment at work recently and has been grappling with the unfairness of corporate politics and office bull sh*t. We’ve been really seeking career change in our lives lately and it has not come as expected. Instead of career change in the immediate we are dreaming about the crossroads coming in the future. And…anticipating our little girl’s arrival in the meantime.
But as you can see, we are enjoying the ride!

Jen! Such cute pictures! And I've been there!! I was pretty sure just by the first picture of the boys walking along the street and grew certain as I saw the others. My family rents a house one block up from the shore. How fun! It IS cold, though. :)

Sorry to hear about the career crap. How are you feeling about soon being a family of 4 and having a girl?? I forgot if you mentioned the due date.Thinking of you...
