It has been a bitter sweet day. My grandfather passed away early this morning. It was an anticipated thing but not without a overflow of emotions. He was my last living grandparent and the one I was the closest to. I thank God his is home in Heaven today.
Today, Jackson and I spent the day listing to the hail and watching the snow fall. He is so full of personality already. I have many names for him including:
Little lip purser (he often purses his lips at me)
Mr. milk coma man ( after feeding he falls into a milk coma)
Baby bear
Little peanut
and when he is being fussy I say, no Mr. Fussy.
I will try to capture some of these faces and post them. They are priceless.
This is the lip pursuing face (kind of)
This is not a Jackson face, Mike just did his hair after a bath and he happed to make the tough biker, back off face. :) Sweet time with dad tonight.
Autie Megs has been visiting us too.

So sorry about your grandpa. Our prayers are with you and your family.
Love the cute nicknames. Isn't it fun how they just come about? Some of Katya's were "Fussy Pants"; "Little Miss Pants"; and "Small Pants" (which we still use!).
I am falling in love with your little one.
If you have time, I'd love to have you join me in a super sweet online swap. Check out my friend Dionne's blog: http://notesfromdionne.blogspot.com/2009/03/springtime-swap.html
i am so sorry to hear about your grandfather. life is like that though, the joy of new life but sorrow for a life that is no longer with us. i am glad to hear that he is in heaven. i can't wait to see you tomorrow and meet your new little one.
I am so sorry for your loss, Jen. I just want to remind you to allow yourself to grieve. It's ok to be sad about your grandpa being gone, even while you are rejoicing over the birth of your sweet son. It's amazing how He really does "give and take away". Praying for you... it's hard enough just being a new mama by itself!
